Final reports of successful cooperation projects presented
The projects financed impacted Honduras on such issues as education, environment and energy.
Tegucigalpa, June 13, 2019.- Today during a technical meeting, Spain's Debt Conversion Program to Honduras (PCD 2005) presented the evaluation reports of the 8 projects that it finances to the Sectoral Cabinets of the Government of Honduras and representatives of institutions directly involved in its operation and sustainability.
It is noteworthy that the delivery of these reports was made by the authorities of the Binational Committee, which is composed of representatives of the Government of Honduras and Spain, with coordination by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation. Likewise, the program is administered by the Central American Bank of Economic Integration (CABEI).
With this initiative the Government of Honduras aims to strengthen the coordination that should exist between the beneficiary entities and these public bodies in order to efficiently use the investment made with resources from the Honduras-Spain Fund through 2018.
The projects evaluated and used to prepare the final reports total 446.8 million lempiras and are the following:
Representatives of the Governments of Honduras and Spain, CABEI authorities and representatives of the beneficiary entities highlighted the importance of the efficient operation of the works financed by the Honduras-Spain Fund and the sustainability actions that should be provided to them.
