The Central American Bank for Economic Integration (CABEI) and the Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean (ECLAC), through the Latin American and Caribbean Institute for Economic and Social Planning (ILPES), will develop the International Course "Open State in Latin America and the Caribbean" in 2024. The purpose of this program is to provide conceptual and practical knowledge for the formulation of government transparency initiatives, citizen participation and collaboration between governments and citizens.
The training program is aimed at public officials, members of non-governmental organizations, academics and citizens interested in topics such as open government, transparency, access to information, open data, among others. The virtual phase will be held from October 16 to November 13 and the in-person phase will take place from November 25 to 29, 2024, at ECLAC headquarters in Mexico City.
CABEI supports this initiative within the framework of the implementation of a Memorandum of Understanding signed with ECLAC that seeks, among other issues, to promote transparency and openness, within the application of its Access to Information Policy.
