CABEI presents first report on the implementation of its Access to Information Policy

Tegucigalpa, December 10, 2021.- In order to promote transparency and accountability, the Central American Bank for Economic Integration (CABEI) presented this Friday its first report on the actions and activities implemented to operationalize its Information Access Policy (IAP).

One of the main achievements in the initial phase of the implementation of the IAP is the disclosure of a wide variety and quantity of information on the operations cycle, the work of the Board of Directors, among other types of documents, surpassing historical levels of publication. For example, from April 1, 2021 to date, the Bank has disclosed more than 600 documents on its website.

CABEI's Executive President, Dr. Dante Mossi, stated that "in order to guarantee greater openness and transparency for the region's development, we have been working hard in recent years to ensure that citizens have first-hand knowledge of our management as the Bank of Central America. It has been a long journey in this process, and we are proud of the preliminary results obtained to materialize this regulation.

These are the result of the joint work carried out by all CABEI's collaborators, who are committed to promoting transparency with the objective of fostering sustainability, operational profitability and improving development results," he said.

The document also describes and reflects an overview of the actions implemented to bring the IAP into effect on April 1, 2021, and CABEI's commitment to increase openness and generate greater public awareness of the Bank's efforts to implement it efficiently.
