CABEI’s President Receives Delegation from the European Union

The Executive President of the Central American Bank for Economic Integration (CABIE), Dr. Nick Rischbieth, held a meeting with a delegation of officials from the European Union (EU), chaired by Jolita Butkeviciene the Latin America and Caribbean Director at the The European Commission's Directorate-General for Development and Cooperation – EuropeAid.

The meeting was a follow up on CABEI’s joint work with the institutions of the European Union, especially on matters of financial cooperation for the Central American nations.

CABEI’s Executive President, Dr. Nick Rischbieth, reiterated CABEI’s strategic role as an European Union partner for the implementation of projects and programs in Central America, and the importance of a having a strong synergy between both institutions for the development of further initiatives in benefit of regional development.

The delegation was composed of Laurent Sillano, Minister Counsellor, Head of Cooperation Section and Galina Karamalakova, International AID, Cooperation Officer, Latin America and Caribbean.
