The Bank invites all its external stakeholders to participate in the consultation process and to share inputs and observations to strengthen this policy.

Tegucigalpa, October 11.- More than two years after the entry into force of its Access to Information Policy (PAI), the Central American Bank for Economic Integration (CABEI) offers the public the opportunity to submit observations, comments and suggestions on the proposal to update these regulations. The Bank aims to generate a constructive and open process so that all external stakeholders have the opportunity to make suggestions on the proposed adjustments to the regulations to strengthen the transparency and accountability of the Institution.

The public consultation process will be conducted virtually for a term of 30 calendar days, which will close on November 11, 2023. The purpose of this process is to receive suggestions from borrowing countries, executing agencies, the private sector, non-governmental organizations, academia, and members of the public, among others. The proposed regulations can be found on the official website of the public consultation.

At the end of the consultation term, CABEI will initiate an internal evaluation process on the inputs received in order for the Board of Directors to consider the final adjustments to be included in the updated and strengthened version of the Access to Information Policy. As part of the process and in order to enhance transparency, the Bank will publish comments and observations submitted by the public.

The Bank encourages all of its external stakeholders to participate in the process, and they can submit their comments and suggestions through the official consultation website, where they can also find relevant information on the basis for the consultation, the annual implementation reports of the policy and a specific form for submitting their observations.
