CABEI continues to strengthen its governance, the Bank's Board of Directors approves the creation of an Administrative Tribunal
This mechanism will address and resolve employment-related issues.
Tegucigalpa, December 08th, 2022.- The Board of Directors of the Central American Bank for Economic Integration (CABEI), approved the creation of an Administrative Tribunal that integrates and refers to measures and best practices at an international level of Development Banking related to employability issues.
In this way, the institution will promote confidence in CABEI's independent dispute resolution mechanisms, both for staff hired by appointment and for potential candidates for CABEI positions.
CABEI President, Dr. Dante Mossi, stated that "the Board of Directors' decision to launch this new initiative reinforces and reaffirms the commitment to manage the institution with high-level international standards. The development of these working mechanisms brings the Bank's most valuable resource, its employees, closer to the Bank and takes care of them.”
The tribunal shall hear and resolve conflicts that may arise between the Bank and the personnel under the responsibility of the employer or the members or affiliates of the Social Benefits Fund or their respective successors or beneficiaries. It shall be composed of three regular and two alternate attorneys with no relation to CABEI.
The Bank maintains its focus as an institution with a profound social vocation and, with the creation of the CABEI Administrative Tribunal, once again demonstrates its strong commitment to being a benchmark in sustainable development and effectively impacting the well-being of society.
