With an investment of L.35.7 million lempiras Honduran children will have better opportunities in life

Thanks to the investment from Spain's Debt Conversion Program to Honduras and CABEI’s administration, Honduras has a new education center in Choloma, Cortes.

Choloma, Cortes, February 5, 2015- Spain's Debt Conversion Program to Honduras, administered by the Central American Bank for Economic Integration (CABEI) today began the project "Creation of MHOTIVO in the city of Choloma, Cortes: Creating MHOTIVO in the city of Choloma, Cortés: Creating An Ideal Educational Institution Within The Reach Of The Poor ".
   
The project received a contribution from Spain's Debt Conversion Program to Honduras for 35.7 million lempiras (US $1.7 million dollars) and with this financing an educational complex was built that has educational facilities and incorporates the families of limited economic resources with the MHOTIVO-CHOLOMA Foundation, offering a comprehensive bilingual education and high quality educational programs.

At the conclusion of the first three years of operation of the complex, it will have benefited annually and directly 360 children and their families with limited resources.

The MHOTIVO Foundation is responsible for the technical aspects of the project and ensure its sustainability. In this regard, and in accordance with its counterpart commitments, MHOTIVO has equipped and trained faculty and staff who are working at the Center.

The actions carried out through this program are aligned with the axis of development Social of CABEI Strategy 2010-2014, specifically with the " Contribute to the Development of Human Capital" sub component and the " Equipment, Infrastructure and Education in General", as well as with the development policy of the Government of Honduras.
