Last days to register for CABEI 2022 Press Contest: Sustainability and Development in Central America
Journalists and social communicators who wish to apply have time to submit their publications until August 12, 2022.
Tegucigalpa, August 5th, 2022. - Quality journalism contributes to overcoming environmental, economic and social challenges in order to build a more just society. To recognize this effort, in June the Central American Bank for Economic Integration (CABEI) launched the 2022 CABEI Press Contest: Sustainability and Development in Central America, an opportunity to recognize the work of journalists and social communicators in the development of their countries.
Applications will be open until August 12, 2022, at 6:00 p.m. Central American time, and communication professionals can participate by registering in the following form and sending their radio, television, print or digital newspaper or radio publications to the following e-mail address: cominst@bcie.org.
"We are pleased to be able to support journalistic work in the region. Their work is important in contributing to the development of issues that impact the quality of life in society. That is why CABEI is promoting this contest, with which we encourage the strengthening of democracy and transparency, values that we also share as a Bank," said CABEI Executive President, Dr. Dante Mossi.
The contest seeks to promote the dissemination of information on development issues in the region's countries in order to contribute to making them more inclusive and sustainable. The contest categories are divided into written and/or digital press, and radio or television, where publications can be submitted between January 1 and August 12, 2022.
In each category, the first place winner will receive a prize of US$4,000 and the second place winner US$2,000. In addition, an honorable mention of US$1,500 will be awarded.
