Spanish companies based in Honduras learn about the ICO-BCIE financing line

Tegucigalpa, May 31, 2017. -At the request of companies belonging to Núcleo España, the Central American Bank for Economic Integration (CABEI) made a brief presentation about the  financing line between the Official Credit Institute (ICO) and CABEI in order to promote the line’s characteristics and operational mechanism.

The line, which was launched last March, aims to finance investment projects, working capital and export and import operations through companies with Spanish interest in the Bank's member countries.

Núcleo España is a gathering point for Spanish companies in Honduras. Its objective is to promote business relations between Honduras and Spain and to share information that may be of interest to its members, acting as the Spanish Chamber of Commerce.

One of the goals of the ICO-BCIE financing line is to facilitate the funding of companies with at least 30% of Spanish capital that carry out commercial activities in the CABEI member countries.

In addition, the new financing instrument includes the possibility of financing long-term investments, as well as exports of companies with a registered office outside Spain that acquire goods or services from companies with registered offices in Spain. It also includes financing to companies with registered offices in Spain that sell goods or services to companies with registered offices outside of Spain.
