PRESS RELEASE

Tegucigalpa, March 7, 2019 - The Central American Bank for Economic Integration (CABEI) in relation to CABEI Loan Contract No. 2127 denominated, "Construction of an office building for Congressmen and Women and Parliamentary Groups of the Legislative Assembly of El Salvador," and the request to reorient US$16.00 MM of the same for infrastructure works in 50 schools, 14 public libraries and 5 art and culture centers clarifies that, since the loan in question was approved based on the technical specifications of the project and has a destination established according to the global investment plan approved by the Bank, the request to renegotiate the clauses stipulated in the contract cannot be attended.
