CABEI President gives a lecture to the Bolivian Catholic University

In his dissertation to Master's students in Projects, Dr. Mossi highlights the role of CABEI in the economic development of the region through Project initiatives.

Tegucigalpa, September 20, 2020.- The Executive President of the Central American Bank for Economic Integration (CABEI), Dr. Dante Mossi, participated in the conference "Central American Bank for Economic Integration: Context and Challenges facing Regional Development", organized by the Master's Degree in Project Formulation and Management of the Bolivian Catholic University.

During the talk, Dr. Mossi reviewed CABEI's historical evolution and how the institution on its 60th anniversary has taken important steps in the transformation and consolidation as its effective and timely development bank, but there are still challenges to be faced and overcome.

The President emphasized how in these months he has managed to overcome all the obstacles to successfully conclude the process of the eighth capital increase, with which "our equity has increased from US$5 to US$7 billion showing once again the commitment of our partners with CABEI and the financial strength of our institution, which every time is consolidated as the best investment grade in Latin America.”

He highlighted that a solid portfolio of 44 public and private programs and projects have been identified with a demand for financial resources that exceed US$12.8 billion and that constitute a great opportunity for national, regional and international private investors that will come to underpin economic development, employment generation and new opportunities to improve the well-being of Central Americans.

Mossi, has stated that CABEI through its new 2020-2024 Institutional Strategy expects to invest US$15.19 billion. We are continuously developing new products and services trying to anticipate the needs of an increasingly demanding global market.
