FHE prepares sustainability manual for production and marketing of coffee and handicrafts

The document will define the sustainability of the Project, “Construction and Implementation of Handicraft Workshops and Coffee Production and Processing Workshops in San Nicolas, Santa Barbara.”

San Nicolás, Santa Bárbara, August 26, 2016. -  Spain’s Debt Conversion Program to Honduras, which is administered by the Central American Bank for Economic Integration (CABEI), has initiated the Project, “Construction and Implementation of Handicraft and Coffee Production and Processing Centers in San Nicolas, Santa Barbara, Honduras.”

During the workshop, a document will be prepared to establish priorities to ensure the durability of resources financed by Spain’s Debt Conversion Program to Honduras. In addition, the project is expected to become a reference tool for future sustainability initiatives, as well as a basis for social communication and action.

At the workshop inauguration, the representative of Spain’s Debt Conversion Program to Honduras, Ana Maria Obando, mentioned that the manual will provide a roadmap for developing a sustainable marketing strategy for handicraft and coffee production in the area.

The mayor of San Nicolas, Mrs. Carmen Paz, representatives from the Ministry of Education and other participants expressed their commitment to fulfilling this great challenge, which is being supported by the Eductrade-Asignia Consortium.
