Ethics and development, theme of forum organized by CABEI

The organization brought together international experts to share best practices and knowledge.

Tegucigalpa, February 18, 2021.-  Transparency and good practices are increasingly present in the agendas of multilateral organizations; "We must continue to persevere in good practices to ensure the enjoyment of a good reputation, the loyalty of partners and strategic allies, attract investments and establish relationships with suppliers, these are principles that have become not only a valuable asset, but also an element of unavoidable compliance in order to materialize the reason for the existence of our institution".

This was explained by the Executive President of the Central American Bank for Economic Integration (CABEI), Dr. Dante Mossi, during the forum, "Ethics and Development in Multilateral Banking: Efficiency and Effectiveness.

One of CABEI's priority issues is to reinforce ethical values as elements for efficiency and effectiveness, as necessary conditions for the reduction of poverty and inequality, economic growth, climate change and integration, among other aspects of the regional development agenda. 

The panel lectures were given by leading professionals: Adrian Rozengardt, Professor and researcher at the Universidad Nacional de Tres de Febrero; Attorney María Barbara Marcen Abascal, Compliance Officer at Baker McKenzie and Dr. Alberto Rivera-Fournier, Ethics Officer at the Inter-American Development Bank.

The virtual event was organized by CABEI's Ethics Committee and the Directors' Committee for Strategy, Programming and Evaluation.
