CABEI reaffirms its commitment to transparency and openness with the second edition of the Open House event and invites interested parties to register and participate

The event allows citizens to learn how CABEI works and its accountability mechanisms.

Tegucigalpa, August 11, 2023. As part of the implementation of its Access to Information Policy, the Central American Bank for Economic Integration (CABEI) will open its doors to citizens through a virtual session "Open House" on September 7 at 9:00 A.M. (Honduras time). The initiative aims to deepen the knowledge of external stakeholders about the Bank's procedures, competencies, responsibilities, and operations. 

  • "Open House" will consist of a series of sessions covering various topics: 

  • Session 1: Introduction to the work and history of CABEI. 

  • Session 2: Basic aspects of operations and impact measurement. 

  • Session 3: Accountability mechanisms. 

  • Session 4: Open forum to hear suggestions for improvements on the application of the Access to Information Policy. 

The activity is aimed at the general public, public officials, the private sector, civil society organizations, and entities specializing in access to information, among others who want to learn about the Bank's work. To participate, people can register through the form at the following link

The Madam Director of CABEI for Honduras and vice president of the Communications and Access to Information Committee, Belinda Carias Martínez, affirmed: "Open House represents an invaluable opportunity to listen to our stakeholders, promote trust, and strengthen transparency and accountability mechanisms." 

Furthermore, she expressed that “this second edition of the event, celebrated in the framework of the commemoration of the Bank's Transparency and Access to Information Month, seeks to consolidate the practice of reaching a wide range of stakeholders and maximizing information dissemination.”
