CABEI to participate in world congress on scientific and technological cooperation between EU and Central America

It is the "All-Atlantic R&I for a Sustainable Ocean: Ministerial & Stakeholder Conference" to be held in Portugal from June 2 to 4, 2021.

Tegucigalpa, May 25th, 2021. – With the objective of promoting relevant initiatives for climate change mitigation in the region and within the framework of the "All-Atlantic Ocean Research Alliance" global conference, the Central American Bank for Economic Integration (CABEI) will co-organize the complementary event "Innovative actions to promote scientific and technological collaboration between the European Union, the Amazonian coast and the Caribbean."

The activity will take place on June 3 and will include the director for Argentina and Colombia, Maximiliano Alonso's participation along with representatives of the Dominican Republic's Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Technology (MESCYT), Mexico's University of Quintana Roo and Brazil's Federal University of Western Pará.

"CABEI's participation in this activity is in line with our commitment to work with the region's different sectors in the generation and search for solutions to reduce climate change in our countries, in addition to allowing us to identify a priority work agenda for sustainable development and improve people's quality of life," said CABEI President Dante Mossi.

The “All-Atlantic2021 - All-Atlantic R&I for a Sustainable Ocean: Ministerial & Stakeholder Conference” will take place from June 2 to 4 in the framework of the All-Atlantic Ocean Research cooperation between the Portuguese Presidency of the European Council and the European Commission, the space will serve to strengthen its " Connect-Act-Cooperate" vision and, in turn, launch a platform for future actions.
