The Central American Bank for Economic Integration announces the call to select its Executive President

The process is open until September 8, 2023 for nationals of the founding countries of the multilateral: Guatemala, El Salvador, Honduras, Nicaragua and Costa Rica.

Tegucigalpa, June 26, 2023.- The Central American Bank for Economic Integration (CABEI) announces the opening of the contest to select its new Executive President, who will be the highest-ranking officer in the administrative management of the Bank, in addition to being its legal representative.

Persons wishing to apply for this position must meet the following requirements:  

  1. Be a national of one of the founding member countries of CABEI: Guatemala, El Salvador, Honduras, Nicaragua, or Costa Rica.
  2. Be a person of recognized professional capacity, honesty and with experience of at least 10 years in managerial and executive positions in economic, financial, banking or development policy matters.
  3. Be in the enjoyment and exercise of their civil rights.
  4. Adapt to the profile of the position of Executive President.

The curricular analysis and evaluation will be handled by a firm of recognized international prestige. At the end of said evaluation process, which will include a series of interviews, the Board of Governors will select the person who will occupy this position for a period of five years, with the possibility of being reelected only once.

The selected person must reside in the city of Tegucigalpa, Republic of Honduras, where CABEI's headquarters are located, for the period that they hold the position.
