The LXIII Board of Governors of the Central American Bank for Economic Integration unanimously decides to call for the election of a new President and a new Controller

Punta Cana, May 12th, 2023. The Central American Bank for Economic Integration’s Governors, meeting in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic, in the context of the LXIII Board of Governors meeting held today, unanimously resolved to call for a competition to elect a new Executive President and a new Comptroller.

The decision was adopted at the joint proposal of the five founding countries and unanimously supported by all members of the institution. The new Executive President and Comptroller will serve five-year terms beginning December 1, 2023, and July 1, 2024, respectively.

The Board of Governors expressed its appreciation for the work of both the Executive President and the Controller and agreed to follow up on the competition processes to be implemented, as well as to ensure good governance and institutional stability.
