With CABEI support, XXXVIII Inter-American Congress on Sanitary and Environmental Engineering to be held in Dominican Republic
More than 1,000 representatives from Central America, Panama and the Dominican Republic will attend the Congress in Punta Cana.
Santo Domingo, November 15th, 2022 - In order to promote resilient initiatives for sustainable business development in the face of adverse environments such as climate change, the Central American Bank for Economic Integration (CABEI) provided US$9,000 in sponsorship for the XXXVIII Inter-American Congress on Sanitary and Environmental Engineering "Challenges of Sanitary and Environmental Management, Post Pandemic and Climate Change, a "Commitment of All".
"Considering that disasters caused by climate change are on the rise, it is essential to exchange knowledge, techniques and tools to mitigate their adverse effects and enable effective recovery to ensure business continuity and, therefore, the development of our countries," said CABEI Executive President, Dr. Dante Mossi.
At the Congress organized by the Inter-American Association of Sanitary and Environmental Engineering (AIDIS), technical papers were presented on advanced research and solutions in the area of sanitary and environmental engineering, and CABEI provided details on the projects being developed in the region through its financial and technical support in the water and sanitation sectors. In addition, CABEI discussed financing opportunities for 2023.
The event was held from November 13 to 17 in Punta Cana and was attended by more than 1,000 representatives from Central America, Panama and the Dominican Republic.
