CABEI promotes education credit loans for Nicaraguans

Nicaraguan students have a large student loan program that aims to improve the quality of life of all Central Americans

Managua, Nicaragua November 4th, 2014.- As part of its initiatives on "Financing for the Majority" the Central American Bank for Economic Integration (CABEI), signed a student loan program with the Universidad Tecnológica La Salle (ULSA), in the Republic of Nicaragua, to facilitate Central American students access to higher finance education.

Studies of ULSA programs will now be available to a greater percentage of Nicaraguans, thanks to the effort to improve the training of citizens of the region in order to increase the competitiveness of Central American countries.

CABEI Educational Credit Program is open to all Central universities, which must apply CABEI’s the eligibility process to access these resources.

This initiative is part of CABEI’s Educational Credit Program mechanism created to promote increased levels of education in Central American countries, financed with own funds of the bank and with contributions from the Government of the Republic of China (Taiwan), awarded through the Fund Development and International Cooperation of Taiwan (TaiwanICDF).

During the event, the Director for Nicaragua to CABEI Dr. Silvio Conrado explained that this strategic alliance is part of efforts promoted by multilateral initiatives to promote high impact in the region, having as main goal the development of all Central Americans.

Dr. Conrado confirmed this agreement in Nicaragua, CABEI augments the efforts of this organization on the issue of education funding in the region.

The Universidad Tecnológica La Salle (ULSA), was approved by the National Council of Universities an October 20, 2007; begins in January 2009 as an institution of higher private level, promoting comprehensive training for youth and adults, in the scientific, technological and human. It is located in Leon, Nicaragua.

CABEI invites young students to visit universities that are already affiliated to CABEI’s Educational Credit Program as the American University, INCAE, Thomas More, UdeM, UCC and UCA, to meet the educational programs and meet the minimum requirements.
