CABEI and G&T Continental renew a US$43 million credit line for MIPYME
This operation will put a special focus on the financing of business processes linked to innovation and entrepreneurship in all productive sectors.
City of Guatemala, June 22nd, 2020. - The Central American Bank for Economic Integration (CABEI) signed the renewal of the Global Credit Line with G&T Continental Bank, S.A. for US$43 million to benefit the business sector in Guatemala in different segments.
The renewal of this line of credit is intended to promote the various lines of financial intermediation that CABEI offers, specifically on issues of support to MIPYME and promotion of the main productive sectors of the country, import and export of goods, and attention to MIPYME to support financing linked to issues of climate change, entrepreneurship, energy efficiency, renewable energy and cleaner production, among others.
Banco G&T Continental de Guatemala is a financial institution that has been intermediating CABEI resources for more than 20 years, with differentiated products towards the productive sectors and the MIPYME. In this way, G&T Continental Bank is an important ally of CABEI for the placement of resources that promote the improvement of the competitiveness of the business sector in the Republic of Guatemala.
This operation is part of the Bank's 2020-2024 Institutional Strategy and meets the strategic objective of productivity and innovation in the business world by fostering the growth of MIPYME and thus the generation of employment and poverty reduction.
