At the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum: CABEI President highlights region’s investment attractions

Tegucigalpa, June 19, 2015. – The Executive President of the Central American Bank for Economic Integration (CABEI), Dr. Nick Rischbieth, noted that through the Bank’s programs and products, it is positioning itself as the regional multilateral organization that most vigorously promotes trade and investment as tools for creating wellbeing and employment for its member countries’ inhabitants.

Dr. Rischbieth discussed these issues during his participation on the panel, "Latin America: Globalization and the New Regional Economic Centers," at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum, a leading international economic and business forum held annually in Russia. The CABEI Executive President also promoted business opportunities and investment attractions in Central America.

In a meeting held with a group of experts, Dr. Rischbieth stressed the importance of new financing models, which are critical to diversifying investment in new businesses, and emphasized the need to innovate and to adapt to globalization in order to increase competitiveness.

Likewise, the CABEI Executive President declared that the region offers a whole array of opportunities and highlighted that it is a dynamic and attractive area because of its natural resources, strategic location and markets.

The forum’s objective was to promote Russian production, scientific cooperation and the implementation of new technologies.
