The National Administration of Laboratories and Health Institutes (ANLIS) was in charge of the reception.

Argentina, August 26, 2020.-  The 26,000 COVID-19 diagnostic kits donated by the Central American Bank for Economic Integration (CABEI) to the Republic of Argentina were received earlier this week by the National Administration of Laboratories and Health Institutes (ANLIS for its acronym in Spanish).

The donation was made up of three types of implements for the extraction, detection and analysis of the virus and was personally received by Dr. Carlos Malbrán from ANLIS, a decentralized public body dependent on the Ministry of Health of this nation.

“It is a pleasure to support our member countries, the Republic of Argentina receives this donation as part of the actions framed within the Emergency Support and Preparedness Program for COVID-19 and its Economic Reactivation. We are pleased to know that these implements arrive at a strategic moment to help combat the health crisis”, said CABEI’s Executive President, Dr. Dante Mossi.

The Republic of Argentina becomes the tenth nation to receive a donation of medical supplies from CABEI. So did Belize, Guatemala, El Salvador, Honduras, Nicaragua, Costa Rica, Panama, the Dominican Republic, and Colombia.
