Promote financing to enterprises dynamic audiovisual in Costa Rica

The campaign seeks to promote entrepreneurship, innovation and responsible financing in Costa Rica.

San José, March 14, 2017. – Today, the Central American Bank for Economic Integration (CABEI), the German KfW Development Bank, the European Union through its Latin American Investment Facility (LAIF) and Parque La Libertad Foundation presented a Campaign denominated, "Dynamic Audiovisual Enterprises, the future of Costa Rica.”

Other organizations that participated in the preparation and development of the campaign include the Ministry of Culture and Youth (MCJ) and the Museum of Contemporary Art and Design (MADC). The campaign aims to foster the technological, organizational and commercial strengthening of the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) involved in audiovisual design, as well as young and innovative MSMEs by promoting knowledge building, economic potential and adequate access to specialized financial services in these sectors.

The campaign presentation was made in the framework of the Initiative "Development of Business Ideas and Acceleration of Central American MSMEs" (DINAMICA Initiative), which promotes entrepreneurship, innovation and responsible financing in Central America.

The DINAMICA Initiative has financing resources from the German Government through its KfW Development Bank amounting to EUR40 million and EUR10 million of its own resources, representing a total of EUR 50 million, which will be channeled through CABEI’s regional network of Intermediary Financial Institutions.

In addition, it has EUR 3.8 million in technical cooperation resources from the European Union which will be used to strengthen the entrepreneurial ecosystem and promote investment in the MSME field.
