Launch of entrepreneurship network to promote sustainable and profitable msme solutions
The meeting was attended by about 150 representatives of companies, business chambers, technology providers, national banks, government institutions and key players that promote the business development of Nicaraguan companies.
Managua, August 15, 2017- . The Central American Bank for Economic Integration (CABEI), which is the executing entity of the Initiative Development of Business Ideas and Acceleration of Central American MSMEs (DINAMICA), Universidad Thomas More and the Cleaner Production Center organized the launch of a project denominated, “Strengthening the Capacities of the Eco-Innovation, Entrepreneurship and Productivity (REEP) Network at Universidad Thomas More.
The event was held with the objective of informing about the project’s scope and technical assistance model that will be offered from the Eco-innovation, Entrepreneurship and Productivity Network (REEP) to companies and society in general. It involves a coordination of efforts in the strengthening of the business sector and offering of integral technical support to enable companies to innovate and undertake new ideas, products and services with an eco-efficiency approach in order to be more competitive and be inserted into international markets.
The event was attended by approximately 150 representatives from companies, entrepreneurial chambers, technology suppliers, national banks, government institutions and key players involved in the promotion of business development in Nicaraguan companies.
In addition, authorities from the organizing institutions, Universidad Thomas More, the Cleaner Production Center and the European Union attended the event’s inaugural ceremony.
The event was sponsored with European Union development cooperation funds through its Latin American Investment Facility (LAIF) in the framework of DINAMICA, which is a tripartite Initiative of CABEI as executing entity, the Government of Germany through its KfW Development Bank and the European Union. Currently, the Initiative is being executed in Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Nicaragua and Panama.
