CABEI and Mastercard successfully close Regional IDEATON on Logistics and Tourism

Tegucigalpa, March 07, 2024.- The Central American Bank for Economic Integration (CABEI) together with Mastercard have achieved an important advance in the promotion of innovation and entrepreneurship at the regional level with the successful closing of the Regional IDEATON in Logistics and Tourism. This unprecedented event was held at the Bank's headquarters and in a hybrid format, where young entrepreneurs met to try to solve challenges in these areas.

During the hybrid meeting, the pre-selected participants presented their projects before a panel of expert judges, after having received mentoring and participated in several previous work sessions. The projects presented covered a range of innovative solutions, from digital platforms to improve the tourism experience to tools for optimizing the logistics supply chain. This highlights the great potential in the logistics and tourism sectors.

The culmination of the event was celebrated with an exciting awards ceremony, which highlighted the two winning teams. These were not only rewarded with cash prizes granted by CABEI, but were also offered the exclusive opportunity to participate in an incubation period alongside the Mastercard team. This invaluable experience will allow them to further develop their projects and turn them into a tangible reality.
