CABEI positions Central America as a region of opportunities at the FITUR tourism fair in Madrid

Tegucigalpa, January 19^th, 2023.- During the panel held today "Digital & Sustainable: a look from Costa Rica", the Central American Bank for Economic Integration (CABEI), carried a strong message about investment and trade opportunities in the Central American region at Madrid’s 43^rd International Tourism Fair (Fitur).

The CABEI delegation was presided over by the Chief Country Officer in Spain, Mauricio Chacón, who presented the range of financial products and services with which the Bank meets the priorities identified by its partner countries.

During its participation, CABEI took the opportunity to position Central America as a fertile area for increasing business opportunities in sectors such as tourism, tourism products and services, thus contributing to economic recovery.

CABEI promotes programs and projects aimed at micro, small and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs), with significant financing for the regional tourism segment to encourage productive sectors and thereby increase competitiveness, productivity and employment generation.

CABEI is a multilateral institution with a strong commitment to environmental sustainability, providing financing for initiatives with a high social impact in order to achieve balanced development in the region.
