With CABEI support, more than 140 rural students in Costa Rica benefit from tools for learning, arts, and sports
San José, June 26th, 2023.- Didactic games for preschool boys and girls, materials for sports and for the band are some of the materials acquired by the Félix Villalobos Vargas School in Zarcero, in the province of Alajuela in Costa Rica, through a donation made by the Central American Bank for Economic Integration (CABEI).
149 regular students from the area, 22% of whom are migrant population, will be benefited, among them preschool students who, from a very young age, will be able to explore the world of science, technology, engineering, art, and mathematics through a modern Steam Park set.
The donation is part of CABEI's efforts through its Corporate Environmental and Social Responsibility System (SASC), through which it joins the efforts of various civil society organizations to promote initiatives that encourage the participation and empowerment of communities and citizens in the joint development of social investment projects that are framed within the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
