Panama City, July 20th, 2023.– In order to contribute to Panama's socioeconomic development by investing in projects that improve people's quality of life, the pre-investment studies for the development of the "North David Corridor Road Project" under the Public-Private Partnership (PPP) modality, financed by the Central American Bank for Economic Integration (CABEI), recently began.

This involves two consultancies for the preparation of prefeasibility, feasibility, and bidding studies and documents. The TYPSA-MEXTYPSA Consortium will prepare the technical studies and documents and the Deloitte - Rios Ferrer, Guillén - Llarena, Treviño y Rivera, S.C. Consortium will be in charge of the economic-financial and legal studies and documents.

The initiative consists of the construction, equipping, and commissioning of a 16-kilometer road system that will seek to alleviate the load of automobiles traveling on the Pan-American Highway in David City, Chiriqui, Republic of Panama.

The execution of the consultancies began with a meeting between the two companies at CABEI's representative office in Panama in the presence of the Minister of Public Works, Rafael Sabonge, and CABEI's Chief Country Officer for Panama, Carlos Moreno, and the Head of Public-Private Partnership Projects, María Mercedes González, both from CABEI.

The results of the studies are expected to be completed in the first half of 2024, which will serve as the basis for the project to be developed by the winning private consortium.
