CABEI President receives visit from Representatives of Banco Davivienda

A delegation of Banco Davivienda representatives visited the Executive President of the Central American Bank for Economic Integration (CABEI), Dr. Nick Rischbieth, to present their goals and priorities for the region to CABEI.

The delegation was made up by the President of Davivienda Honduras, Alvaro Morales; Chief Economist, Andrés Langebaek Rueda; Vice President of Corporate Credit, Robert Holguín; Corporate Executive Vice President, Álvaro Carrillo; Vice President of Corporate Commercial Banking, Rodrigo Arango; Vice President of International Credit, Reinaldo Romero; International Executive Vice President, Pedro Uribe; Director of Risks Davivienda Honduras, Regina Rodríguez; and the Director of Commercial Banking in Honduras, Luis Felipe Enamorado.

During the meeting with the delegation of this important financial institution, which has recently started its operations in Central America, CABEI’s Executive President discussed the projects the Bank is executing as the region’s multilateral development bank, highlighting the significant progress with regard to infrastructure and renewable energy production over the last five years.

The Banco Davivienda representatives also met with a team of CABEI experts, who gave a presentation about the regional economic environment and, in particular, an analysis of the situation in Honduras.

CABEI Strategic Planning and Programming Analyst, Pablo Flores, spoke about Honduras’s outlook and economic growth; the country’s medium-term debt sustainability; the behavior of its financial system; and an analysis of forecasts for the country.

The meeting also included the participation of different CABEI personnel, including Country Manager-Honduras, Enrique Chinchilla; Project Executive, Elena Hepburn; Credit Analyst, Ary Avila; and Head of the Private Sector and Non-sovereign Operations, Gustavo Ortiz.
