CABEI approves an increase of the global line of credit to BANPAIS
CABEI approved an increase of the Global Credit Line for an additional amount of US $20 million for MSMEs and productive sectors.
Tegucigalpa, May 28, 2018.- The Central American Bank for Economic Integration (CABEI) granted Banco del Pais S.A. (BANPAIS) an increase in the global credit line for an additional amount of US $20 million to reach a total amount of up to US $60 million.
The approval of this increase will finance projects of any of CABEI's financial intermediation programs, mainly, but not limited to, the Liquidity and Expansion Program of the Financial Sector (PROSIFI), the Support Program for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs), and the Productive Sector Development Program (PROSEP).
The global credit line is framed within the strategic axes of CABEI, especially in Social Development and Competitiveness, with an emphasis on strategic objectives aimed at creating opportunities for income generation and the mobilization of capital for the benefit of investment towards productive sectors.
During the signing of the agreement, CABEI's Country Manager for Honduras, Manuel Torres, pointed out that the Bank is firmly committed to initiatives that promote development in terms of employment, economic promotion and entrepreneurship.
Likewise, this contributes to the Strategic Axes of Social Development and Competitiveness, given the mobilization of capital to benefit the investment towards the productive sectors and the generation of income through financing to small, medium and large companies.
