CABEI and South Korea promote investment in infrastructure

The agreement was signed in the city of Seoul during the visit of CABEI Executive President Dr. Nick Rischbieth to Korea.

Seoul, January 19, 2016. – Yesterday, the Central American Bank for Economic Integration (CABEI) and the Korean Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transportation (MOLIT) signed a memorandum of understanding to consolidate and promote programs of common interest to both organizations.

The agreement seeks to promote programs and projects, which will be strengthened through technical collaboration between the two institutions in order to boost investment in infrastructure and contribute to raising the quality of life of Central Americans.

The agreement was signed by the CABEI Executive President, Dr. Nick Rischbieth, and MOLIT Minister, Mr. Hoin Kang.

For his part, CABEI Executive President, Dr. Nick Rischbieth, stated that, “Through the signing of this agreement, CABEI will continue to promote investment in infrastructure and to support initiatives that have a positive impact on Central America.”

This agreement puts special emphasis on the exchange of knowledge and technological tools aimed at modernizing and strengthening the provision of services in order to increase the competitiveness of the region’s countries and to streamline sustainable development issues, such as climate change and economic development.
