CABEI promotes business collaboration between Central America and Europe

The multilateral participated in the "Multilateral Networking Meeting: Opportunities in Central America for the companies of Castilla and León".

Madrid, October 2nd, 2023.- As the multilateral institution that provides the largest amount of resources to promote economic growth and well-being in the Central American region, the Central American Bank for Economic Integration (CABEI) participated in the "Multilateral Networking Meeting: Opportunities in Central America for companies in Castilla and León" in Spain, organized by the Institute for Business Competitiveness (ICE).

At the meeting, whose objective was to identify investment opportunities between Central America and Europe, the multilateral organization demonstrated its track record and experience in implementing programs and projects that contribute to diversifying economic activities, strengthening regional integration, improving social cohesion, and boosting economic growth and job creation in both regions.

Representing CABEI were CABEI Country Representative in Spain, Mauricio Chacón, and Finance Executive, Alberto Cabezón, who took the opportunity to highlight Central America as a developing economy that presents ongoing investment opportunities for Spanish companies.

Since 2005, with the incorporation of Spain as a CABEI member, the institution has been a key bridge between Central America and Europe, promoting sustainable development and transatlantic business collaboration.
