CABEI donates medical equipment and surgical gowns to the "Hospital Escuela de Honduras"

The multilateral takes concrete actions in favor of the community in the face of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Tegucigalpa July 24th, 2020.- The employees of the Central American Bank for Economic Integration (BCIE) delivered a donation of 1,495 surgical gowns, valued at 164,517.00 lempiras, to the "Hospital Escuela" in this capital.

These supplies will be used by specialist doctors and nurses who work extended hours, which will contribute to the proper protection of their health against COVID-19. This delivery was made possible thanks to the contribution of the collaborators of the multilateral that collected US$6,601.00.

Recently, in order to support the health teams and patients, CABEI, granted a financial support of US$5,000.00 to the Honduran Association of Endocrinology and Metabolism to support the "Hospital Escuela" with the purchase of cephalic helmets to provide oxygen with a high flow rate to patients with COVID-19.

Through both donations, CABEI wants to respond to many of the needs that, above all in times of crisis, a large part of the population that go to this assistance center, who are in conditions of poverty, suffer.

Since the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic, CABEI has carried out various actions in favor of the community, particularly in support of the health sector in the region. CABEI remains alert to seek solutions to the crisis in order to support its partner countries and the inhabitants of the region.
