Tegucigalpa, August 22th, 2023.- To strengthen the musical and cultural learning of students at the Pedro Nufio School, located in the municipality of El Triunfo, in the department of Choluteca in southern Honduras, nearly 100 wind, percussion, and string musical instruments were recently donated by the Central American Bank for Economic Integration (CABEI).

838 children between the ages of 6 and 13 will benefit from the project, which will allow them to participate in future parades and cultural events, as well as to form a music school for their integral development.

CABEI’s Director for Honduras, Belinda Carias Martínez, stated: "I am very happy to personally see so much young talent. We have a strong commitment to support the music program at this school and that is why we are donating musical instruments to motivate the students to continue growing.”

In addition to this action, the Bank, committed to supporting cultural development in Honduras, for the second consecutive year supported the National Song Festival, an important event in which Honduran composers participate and which unites the country and Central America.

With this type of initiative, CABEI continues to contribute to artistic and cultural development, as well as to the promotion of spaces and activities that contribute to the wellbeing of the Honduran population and the region.
