Strengthen the citizen security service. Optimize the infrastructure and equipment of the Penitentiary Service.

To contribute to improving the quality of public safety services and guaranteeing
minimum, dignified and safe standards in buildings for people in the context of
confinement.

The Program's main lines of action include:

1. Strengthen the citizen security service, ensuring conditions for efficient, effective and prevention-oriented actions.
2. Optimize the infrastructure and equipment of the Penitentiary and Social Readaptation Service and the Police of the Chaco Province
3. Strengthen the development of capacities in the area of citizen security and surveillance of persons in conflict with the criminal law.

CABEI, together with the Argentine government and the Chaco Province, are promoting
this US$15 million program.

This initiative includes a component oriented to the development of citizen security capabilities, which includes investment in video surveillance technology and the purchase of vehicles and specialized equipment for the use of the province's special units, particularly the Police and the Fire Department.

This Program's executing agency is the Ministry of Planning, Economy and Infrastructure (MPEI) of the Chaco Province, which will carry out its functions through the Strategic Programs and Projects Liaison Entity (EEPPE).

The financing conditions are established for a twenty-year term, including a five-year grace period and an indicative annual interest rate of 4.42%.
