The Statistical Yearbook collects a set of macroeconomic, demographic and social statistics in order to present the Central American region¹ performance in the recent past. The information presented comes, in most cases, from publications of the official statistics of each country and organizations belonging to the Central American Integration System. The preparation of this edition was eloborated by the Office of the Chief Economist, under the leadership of Armando Enrique Navarrete Urbina (Chief Economist) its compilation was in charge of Clara Ibeth Rivera Portillo (Junior Economist), and its revision in charge of Miguel Ángel Medina Fonseca (Economist) and Leily Melani Mendoza Valladares (Economist) with the collaboration of Arnol Ordoñez (Intern).
