The funds allocated to the project will provide technical assistance, practical tools and successful models to entrepreneurs in the areas of Sololá, Quetzaltenango, Huehuetenango and San Marcos.

Guatemala, August 7, 2018.- With the aim of supporting community entrepreneurial ideas dedicated to the transformation of fruits and vegetables for export and artisanal mushrooms and grains, the Central American Bank for Economic Integration (CABEI), which is the executing entity of the Initiative for the Development of Business Ideas and Acceleration of Central American MSMEs (DINAMICA), signed a non-reimbursable technical cooperation agreement for an amount of up to US$50,000.00 with the Association for the Socioeconomic Promotion of Vulnerable Populations - Grupo Enlace.

The project denominated "Factory of Innovative Entrepreneurship in Western Guatemala" will allocate technical assistance funds for 10 Entrepreneurs who have defined business models with potentialities identified at the level of natural resources, human resources and productive capacities.

Entrepreneurs will receive assistance to define models and business plans; they will also be able to validate current products and services, as well as trends to open new production and service lines. These business models will be directed to initiatives generated (ideas) together from the place of origin (communities) and will include the technical description of the productive process. Some of the community enterprises include: the transformation of fruits and vegetables for export, artisanal mushrooms and grains, among others.
