CABEI renews US$84.2 million credit line to Banco LAFISE BANCENTRO to support Nicaraguan economic sectors

Managua, September 5^th, 2023 - To support and financially attend to the needs of micro, small and medium-sized Nicaraguan entrepreneurs, the Central American Bank for Economic Integration (CABEI) and Banco LAFISE BANCENTRO signed a 24-month renewal of an US$84.2 million credit line.

This operation is also expected to continue supporting various economic sectors of great importance for economic growth, resulting in the generation of new jobs and the reduction of poverty in Nicaragua.

The formalization of this Credit Line was carried out by CABEI's Country Chief Officer in Nicaragua, Carlos De Castilla, the General Manager of Banco LAFISE, BANCENTRO in Nicaragua, Alejandro Alfonso Ramírez, and was supported by other officials from both institutions.

Since 1995, Banco LAFISE, BANCENTRO has channeled CABEI funds through financial intermediation to support various economic sectors in the country.
