CABEI signed an agreement with Nicaragua for the construction and the equipment of the Departmental Hospital of Chinandega

The Government of the Republic of Nicaragua and the Central American Bank for Economic Integration (CABEI) signed today a loan for US $51.9 million to finance the "Construction and Equipment of the Departmental Hospital of Chinandega" project.

The total cost of the hospital is estimated at $99.8 million, for which the Government of Nicaragua will make a contribution of $17.9 million and $30.0 million will come from a loan from the Kuwait Fund.

With CABEI’s resources and the loan from the Kuwait Fund pre-investment costs, building works and hospital equipment and furniture will be financed. The Government of Nicaragua will provide the terrain for the works to be built, taxes, resources for the bidding process and costs required to put the hospital into the final exploitation phase.

The Minister of Finance and Public Credit Ivan Acosta for the Government of Nicaragua, Silvio E. Conrado CABEI Director for Nicaragua, Sonia Castro Gonzalez Minister of Health, which is the executing body of this operation, all signed the agreement.
