PROJECTS
Coral Highway Project
It consisted of the construction of a 70-kilometer-long, 4-lane highway, for which financing of US$70.0 million was allocated.
Improvement and Expansion of the Eastern Road Corridor for road sections
San Pedro de Macorís-La Romana Section, La Romana Beltway Section and Eastern Tourist Boulevard Section, totaling 78 kilometers in length and representing the best road infrastructure in the country.
Palomino Hydroelectric Project
With a clean and renewable energy generation capacity of 80 megawatts, it is located in the Province of San Juan. For its execution, the Bank allocated financing for a total amount of US$ 130.0 million
Construction of a 50-kilometer gas pipeline in San Pedro de Macorís
Loan in favor of AES Dominicana for a total amount of US$54.00 million.

CABEI delegation to visit the Dominican Republic to promote trade opportunities
Multilateral inaugurates Business Forum: Building the transformation of regional development" in Punta Cana.
Tegucigalpa, November 03, 2021. – To promote trade opportunities between Central America and the Dominican Republic, a delegation from the Central American Bank for Economic Integration (CABEI), headed by its executive president, Dr. Dante Mossi, will visit the Caribbean country from November 22 to 27.
During the working tour, several events are planned, such as the "Business Forum: Building the Transformation of Regional Development," as well as the CABEI-Solidarios Microenterprise Awards ceremony 2021, and later the CABEI Board of Directors' sessions where impact operations that have a positive impact on the development of its member countries will be analyzed.
"We are pleased to be in the Dominican Republic once again, strengthening ties to achieve mutual business opportunities that translate into social and economic wellbeing for the people of our region," said Mossi.
CABEI in the Dominican Republic maintains active operations of great importance such as the Monte Grande Phase III multipurpose dam, with financing of US$249.6 million; financial intermediation to benefit the country's productive sector through credit lines to Banco Popular, Banco de Reservas and BANDEX, as well as the construction of a gas pipeline with a US$54 million credit to the company AES Dominicana.
For Hostos Rizik, CABEI Director for the Dominican Republic, the visit comes at a time when the country has continued its commitment to maintaining a stable trade flow and a favorable environment for investors.
In this line, he states: "Promoting the exchange of experiences and relations between the Dominican Republic and Central America, as well as establishing cooperation networks that make business opportunities possible, will be some of the objectives of this meeting".

Promoting the importance of the Central American region as a destination for investment and opportunities; CABEI will inaugurate on November 26 in Punta Cana, the Business Forum: Building the transformation of regional development" in which strategic business relationships and public-private collaboration will be analyzed.
Among the topics on the agenda are institutional presentation of CABEI's non-sovereign public and private sectors, business opportunities in the Dominican Republic, presentation of strategic projects by country, presentation of the Country Strategy, as well as a secondary panel session with strategic sectors.
