DINAMICA Initiative trains Guatemalan entrepreneurial ecosystem on its mechanism to access financing

With support from the EU, the Government of Germany (through KfW) and CABEI, DINAMICA Initiative provides lecture on access to financing and technical assistance for entrepreneurs in Guatemala.

Guatemala, September 08, 2017. - With the aim of strengthening the business ecosystem for Micro, Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (MSMEs), especially for new, young and/or innovative ones, as well as promoting adequate access to financial services for these MSMEs, a lecture was given in Guatemala to address opportunities for financing and access to Non-reimbursable Technical Cooperation agreements under this mechanism.

During the training, Project Manager María Gabriela Garcia made known that the technical assistance is aimed at strengthening capacities and improving products and services of the Entrepreneurship Centers, which seek increased business development for MSMEs and Entrepreneurs.

In addition, it was announced that Guatemalan entrepreneurs and new MSMEs or companies who seek to strengthen their business ideas in the creation, formalization and consolidation phases can access technical assistance resources in the form of non-reimbursable technical cooperation,.

In Guatemala, resources have already been approved for a total of US$346,838.00, which has been used to implement projects focused on strengthening the Entrepreneurship Centers, promoting financial products for entrepreneurs in Financial Institutions and fostering technical assistance for entrepreneurs to effectively develop their business models.
