Tegucigalpa, October 9, 2018.- In order to deepen women's leadership issues, the Central American Bank for Economic Integration (CABEI) participated in the XIII Congress of Guatemalan Women Leaders denominated, "Leadership that Transcends and Transforms," which was organized by the Chamber of Commerce of Guatemala.

Within its gender equity policy, CABEI establishes as one of its main objectives the promotion of programs and projects that foster gender equality by stimulating the development of women's capacities with the aim of ensuring a positive, effective and efficient impact on women's social environment.

In this context, CABEI Country Manager for Guatemala, Mr. Trevor Estrada, highlighted that with regard to gender equality, the Bank has given great importance to specific programs that support this issue, for example, the Regional Business Financing Program for Women (FEM).

The XIII Congress of Guatemalan Women Leaders gathered more than 1,200 women, both from the interior of the country and from the capital, including businesswomen, housewives, students, professionals and diplomats to listen to nine conferences and training sessions given by women who have excelled nationally and internationally.

During the event, participants' awareness was raised to undertake business initiatives with existing opportunities and through planning and organization in order to execute their business projects with leadership and a streamlined sense of life.
