Throughout its history, CABEI has promoted the cooperation and integration of Central America in terms of financing, training and technical assistance by means of programs and projects that support the productive processes of the economies and provide better business sustainability to contribute to the development and improvement of the living conditions of the region's inhabitants.

In addition, the Bank has worked to strengthen regional commitments to continue investing resources in projects with an impact on development in order to reduce poverty, strengthen regional integration and foster the competitive insertion of the Bank's member countries into the global economy.
