CABEI volunteers unite in favor of the environment during a reforestation campaign in Tegucigalpa
In the last 12 years, the multilateral has planted almost 20,000 trees in the region, as part of the actions of its Corporate Social and Environmental Responsibility System
Tegucigalpa, June 6th, 2022.- In the framework of World Environment Day, 500 new trees were planted by volunteers from the Central American Bank for Economic Integration (CABEI) Headquarters in the United Nations Park El Picacho, as a way of compensating for the environmental impact of its operational and administrative activities.
The initiative is carried out in partnership with the National Parks Foundation and was attended by employees and their families.
"Environmental sustainability is a transversal axis of our Institutional Strategy that we live from within with our organizational culture and by promoting these types of activities in the countries where we have offices. To date, we have planted almost 20,000 trees in various vulnerable areas of Central America, and we will continue to do so with great care," commented CABEI's Executive President, Dr. Dante Mossi.
