Authorities of the Central American Bank for Economic Integration signed the purchase of the office to be occupied by the entity's local team in Buenos Aires.

Buenos Aires, May 6th, 2022.- With the commitment to continue deepening ties between Argentina and Central America, the CABEI's Country Officer for Panama, Carlos Moreno, accompanied by the Bank's Country Director for Argentina and Colombia, Dr. Maximiliano Alonso, signed the purchase of the office in Buenos Aires.

CABEI's local headquarters will be located on the eighth floor of the IRSA Tower (formerly Torre Pirelli) in the Retiro neighborhood of Buenos Aires. Overlooking the emblematic Plaza San Martín, the area is the epicenter of business offices.

CABEI's Executive President, Dr. Dante Mossi, added: "We are very excited to take another step towards the opening of CABEI's headquarters in Argentina. We have been working hard together with the National Government and with this space, the solid relationship between both parties is materialized. CABEI chose Argentina and Argentina also chose CABEI, so here we will have another place for meeting, dialogue and joint work.”

"Although Argentina has been a CABEI partner for more than twenty years, its participation has not been strategic until now. However, in the last two years the focus of the relationship has changed and today we want to empower Argentine companies and help them internationalize. We are also interested, through Argentina, in strengthening CABEI's relationship with the entire Southern Cone and mainly with Mercosur, which is why having an office is of utmost significance for us," emphasized Dr. Alonso.

CABEI currently has eight operations in force in the country for a total of US$379.0 million, being executed in different provinces of the country, and the office will be an open-door place to receive representatives from all sectors and thus make visible the Bank's actions and the possibilities it offers to Argentine society.
