Santo Domingo, September 2, 2022.- With the purpose of promoting resilient initiatives for sustainable business development in adverse environments, the Central American Bank for Economic Integration (CABEI) supported the 2022 Convertirse  Regional Conference, held this Friday in the Dominican Republic, through a sponsorship of US$20,000.

"Taking into account that the disasters caused by climate change are increasing, it is essential to exchange knowledge and techniques that allow avoiding them, mitigate the effects and have a faster recovery that allows business continuity, and therefore the development of our countries," said the executive president of CABEI, Dr. Dante Mossi.

During the conference, CABEI participated in the "Economic impacts of extreme natural phenomena in the region" panel, where key actions for the construction of resilient societies were analyzed.

The biannual event, which this year had a participation of over 170 representatives of the region, is organized by the Central American Integration Network for Corporate Social Responsibility (INTEGRARSE),  and  its objective is to promote a space for public-private dialogue at the regional level for the exchange of experiences, trends and good practices around the natural disaster risk management and sustainability of companies.

In its commitment to promoting the strengthening of the economic, social and institutional factors of its member countries, CABEI supports this type of activities as one of the elements contemplated in its 2020-2024 Institutional Strategy in the axis of Sustainable Competitiveness.
