CABEI channels resources to its member countries to support their efforts in favor of economic integration and the social development of their inhabitants.

Tegucigalpa, October 14, 2017. - The Central American Bank for Economic Integration (CABEI), which is the financial arm of Central American integration, has been developing strategic regional initiatives that address the main sectors prioritized in the regional agendas of the Central American Integration System (SICA), making financial instruments available to its member countries to meet the diverse needs of the sector.

In addition, CABEI’s mission seeks to promote regional integration; this strategic axis enables the Bank to focus its efforts in favor of the integrative process.

CABEI has centered its activity on promoting initiatives that enable economic growth, which leads to a reduction of poverty and inequality, regional integration and the competitive insertion of the Bank's member countries into the global economy.

The CABEI 2015-2019 Institutional Strategy “Integrating Sustainable Development and Competitiveness" provides support to regional priorities, in addition to promoting and implementing regional programs and projects.
