The US$100,000 financing to COOCARUR will have a favorable interest rate for this important sector of the country.

Managua, July 15th, 2022.- In support of Nicaragua's production and livestock sectors, the Central American Bank for Economic Integration (CABEI) recently renewed a US$100,000 credit line for the Caja Rural Regional R.L. Savings and Loan Cooperative (COOCARUR).

With the financing, a total of 15 small producers in the department of Chontales who are members of COOCARUR will be able to boost and strengthen their businesses and invest in improving their ranches.

"For 17 years we have supported the strengthening of productive activities and the dynamization of small producers' businesses in this area of Nicaragua, and we hope to continue obtaining positive results with the renewal of this credit line," said CABEI's Executive President, Dr. Dante Mossi.

On the other hand, the President of COOCARUR, Heberth González, said: "We would like to thank CABEI for the trust it has placed in us as a development fund and our perspective is to continue supporting this sector of the country, since the resources will mainly be used so that the producers can improve the marketing and infrastructure of their farms, as well as apply good practices."

This action is framed within the  support facility for MSMEs affected by COVID-19,  implemented in all the region’s countries in order to contribute to the sector’s adaptation, solvency and transformation, and its economic reactivation in the face of the pandemic’s effects.
