CABEI, SIECA and SICA encourage research on regional integration issues in "Call for Papers" academic competition

Those interested in participating in this fourth edition may send their articles from October 28 to January 10, 2022.

Tegucigalpa, October 28, 2021.- Promoting research and debate within the framework of Central America's Bicentennial of Independence, this Thursday the Central American Bank for Economic Integration (CABEI), together with the General Secretariat of the Central American Integration System (SICA) and the Secretariat for Central American Economic Integration (SIECA) launched the fourth edition of the academic contest "Call for Papers".

This year the regional call is entitled "Central American integration towards the Bicentennial of Independence, Central America a region of opportunities" and those interested in participating may submit articles that examine the integration process in the region in depth in historical, political, economic, social and institutional aspects linked to the context of globalization and challenges.

CABEI Executive President, Dr. Dante Mossi, said, "We are pleased to once again be part of this platform of ideas and knowledge that promotes talent and specialized research, especially since the topics will be related to our regional agenda, such as institutional strengthening, democratic security, social and economic integration, as well as climate change.

The virtual event was presided over by the highest authorities of the organizing bodies: CABEI Executive Vice President Jaime Diaz and CABEI Evaluation Coordinator Shirley Orellana; SIECA Secretary General Francisco A. Lima Mena and Executive Director Desiree García, as well as the Central America Chair Executive Coordinator at the University of Chile, María Inés Ruz.
