Buenos Aires, April 20, 2021.- The Central American Bank for Economic Integration (CABEI) will hold the virtual forum "CABEI, Central America and Argentina's Private Sector: Opportunities for PyMEs in the New Normality" on Wednesday, May 5, to present financing and business opportunities for the private sector.

The purpose of the meeting is to learn about and exchange ideas on Argentina's production situation, CABEI's cooperation and financing possibilities and the opportunities offered by the Central American market for local PyMEs.

Aimed at businessmen and businesswomen, representatives of chambers and business associations, and entrepreneurs from all over the country, the forum will address different topics such as:

  • the post-pandemic productive context with a focus on the 4.0 productivity model,
  • CABEI's experiences in Central America to strengthen the productive sector,
  • the role of the Argentine State for productive development based on financing from multilateral organizations,
  • CABEI's new lines of financing for the private sector and
  • gender equity in the business sector as a sustainable development and innovation model.

Regarding the event, CABEI Executive President Dante Mossi stated, "Argentina is a key player in linking Mercosur with Central America and for this reason we want Argentine businessmen and women to learn about both regions' business opportunities and potential. He also stated: "Achieving synergy between the continent's countries will enable sustainable growth so that we can improve companies' competitiveness and, at the same time, reduce poverty and mitigate climate change."

According to Maximiliano Alonso, CABEI Director for Argentina and Colombia, "This meeting allows us to connect with the productive sector throughout the country, with speakers from the Córdoba Province among the speakers so that we can gain in-depth knowledge of the region's needs and context. The Central American Bank for Economic Integration will open its offices in Argentina, and it is essential for us to be in contact with local entrepreneurs and businessmen and women.”

The forum will be attended by Dr. Mossi; Dr. Alonso; the International Financial Relations for Development of the Argentine Government's Strategic Affairs Secretariat´s Undersecretary, Dr. Christian Asinelli; the President of the Consultative Committee for Economic Integration (CCIE), Lic. José Adán Aguerri; CABEI's Non-Sovereign Public and Private Sector (GEPRI) Manager, Mr. Sabino Escobedo; the President of the Argentine Chamber of Construction, Córdoba Delegation and Production Board, Luis Lumello; and the Founder of Mujeres Emprendedoras en Tecnología, Soledad Salas.
